Oliver Sweet Iron Bradoon Fixed Rings | Fager
Fager Oliver Sweet Iron is suitable if you would describe your horse as follows:
- Pulls against the rein, but responds to increased pressure.
- Unstable in the connection.
- Develops pressure spots and wounds easily.
- Does not naturally seek contact.
Fager Oliver is a double-broken sweet-tasting bit made of gray Sweet Iron. Sweet Iron is very useful for encouraging young or unbalanced horses to pick up the bit and wear it correctly. The bit will rust, and rust creates the sweet taste.
The high-quality construction provides a 100% smooth surface over the bit, including cleverly designed joints that are positioned so that they never push against the palate or lie on top of the layers. The design of the Oliver provides a very comfortable bit that molds to the natural contours of the tongue.
At Fager, we design our bits to maintain the correct balance point (BP) in the mouth. Other bit designs that create greater forward flexion also move the BP forward, reducing the effectiveness of the aids.
Oliver’s design is definitely suitable for horses with sensitive mouths that develop wounds easily, get wounds quickly at the corners of the mouth and/or bruises on the layers.
