Jenny Sweet Iron Bradoon Fixed Rings | Fager
Fager Jenny Sweet Iron is appropriate if you would describe your horse as follows:
- Strong, pulling/leaning on the bit.
- Sensitive to the aids, yet feels stiff.
- Irregular in the contact.
- You have trouble finding a bit in which your horse is happy.
The Jenny’s double-broken mouthpiece creates space for the tongue and relieves constant pressure on the tongue.
The copper roller is cleverly designed to be placed lower than the joints, to increase the pressure point on the tongue. This creates pressure when your horse pulls or feels heavy in your hand, without applying constant pressure.
The brass roller also gives horses something to play with, ideal for horses that can become numb to contact.
The combination of Sweet Iron and Copper creates a taste in the mouth that is easily accepted by even the most sensitive or picky horses. It works effectively to increase acceptance and stable contact.
The Jenny is 12 mm thick and the diameter of the rings is 55 mm. The Jenny has the same mouthpiece as the Julia, but this is the bradoon version with smaller rings.
NOTE: If you are between sizes, take the larger one.
This bit is approved by the FEI for the discipline of dressage.
Fager mouthpiece designs are always horizontally straight – no design has a large forward bend. We design them this way to maintain the correct balance point (BP) in the mouth. When a bit creates a larger forward bend, the BP also moves forward, reducing the effectiveness of the aids.
