Frida Titanium Bit Wings | Fager
Frida Titanium Wings is a versatile bit that can be used in two different ways.
- Place the bit with the Fager logo on your horse’s left side, upside down and facing forward.
When placed this way, the mouthpiece will lock forward while the centerpiece lies flat against the tongue. This is the perfect bit for sensitive horses unwilling to maintain contact with the bit.
- Place the bit with the Fager logo on your horse’s right side, facing forward.
When placed this way, Frida’s mouthpiece will lock back against the throat, with no locking at the front. The center piece will be angled against the tongue and apply more pressure. This bit is perfect for strong, picky and stubborn horses.
Frida follows the natural contours of the mouth and has a short centerpiece that lies flat against the tongue, eliminating interference with the palate. The joints are more outward facing, relieving excessive pressure on the center of the tongue and providing more consistent pressure through the mouth.
We have seen that horses with sensitive tongues have accepted the contact and have been more willing to work with this mouthpiece.
On the inside of Frida’s wings you’ll find Fager’s innovative TOLâ„¢ system, designed to protect the horse’s molars from pressure from the rings. The rings provide excellent and fast contact through the loose rings, without constant pressure on one side when bending. If the horse plays with or pulls the bit, the rings will lock and tighten, like a fixed bit, to help the rider regain connection and control. When a stable connection to the mouth is re-established, the rings will come off again.
