Fager Maria Titanium is recommended if you would describe your horse as follows:

1. Shows discomfort with almost every bit previously tried.
2. Feels stiff in the joint on one or both sides.
3. Moves the head up and down.
4. Resistance to acceptance of the bit.

Fager Maria has everything you could want from a bit! It is an incredibly comfortable bit with 100% super smooth surfaces, including the joints.

Maria’s joints are designed to never press against the sides of the palate or exert uneven pressure on the tongue. It is an extremely comfortable bit that forms naturally around the tongue and relieves the sides of constant pressure.

Maria is manufactured using Fager’s NEW Anoblast™ manufacturing technology, resulting in a very high quality, extremely durable bit; the highest quality titanium bit on the market today! The gray color is a natural result of the production process, no additional dye is used.

Fager mouthpiece designs are always horizontally straight – none of them have a large forward bend. We design them this way to maintain the correct balance point (BP) in the mouth. When a bit creates a larger forward bend, it also moves the BP forward, ultimately reducing the effectiveness of the aids.

This unique design also promotes protection of the layers and fleshy parts of the mouth from abrasion and sores, even in the most sensitive horses.

Note: The balance point remains the same even if it has a slight bend across the tongue = up.
